What is Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
According to Moz, “SEO is a marketing discipline focused on growing visibility in organic (non-paid) search engine results. SEO encompasses both the technical and creative elements required to improve rankings, drive traffic, and increase awareness in search engines.”
Google owns 71% of the global search engine market, far away from Yahoo or Bing.
Did you know that SEO is the most popular marketing tactic searched by people? Obviously, since it drives traffic to your website by being on the first page.
Think of it like this, people work 10 years to reach a certain point in their lives. With SEO, you can skip the queue and reach the same point in 1 year. Crazy yeah?
What can SEO do for you?
In summary, benefits of search engine optimization include:
- Traffic Drive
With more visitors, there are more chances of making sales and hopefully, repeated sales. “Any news is good news” This can be said the same for traffic. With 50% of searches conducted in hopes of finding results, more than half of those searches result in a purchase!
Most companies spend thousands of dollars in promoting, marketing and advertising. Think about it this way, you just started a business last week and you’ve already spent hundreds of dollars with low confidence that it will bring sales. Similarly to high school, being in the top 10 of anything grants you some sort of status. You could potentially receive rewards or awards for it. Being in the first page of a search result? You can have the whole world knowing what you are all about and you must be popular. With the help of a properly constructed SEO, people who come across your webpage would automatically assume that it is popular and credible. Furthermore, it creates awareness in your respective market.

The color, class, odometer levels, gear of the car, etc. Check out Google Keyword Suggestion Tool to help with choosing which words are useful, and which are not.
However, remember that spamming keywords aren’t helpful. You have to remember to select keywords that are rich in promoting and driving traffic. Here’s a quick guide in using Google Keyword Tool:
